I've been trying to install ubuntu onto my Dell on a seperate partition to my windows. However when I get to the part where it says choose a boot disc it crashes and dies because it claims it can't load on same boot disc as windows.

This has happened before on this machine with other versions of linux. Any ideas how I can resolve this? Or am I just stuck with windows forever.

PC stats:
Code:

Dell Dimension 8250
Pentium 4 - 3.06ghz
RAM 512mb

Not sure if any of that will affect it but it has happened with versions of Mandrake.

Regards
Tom
