Is this possible being trying to connect it but just get error messages. I have also tried connecting to my database via MySQL and again just get error messages.

Can anybody remind me of what the connection string is for MySQL? Its been too many years....

I basicaly want to make a simple interface to my database with open office base (the database program) and then also make a simple web interface for it too.

Thanks.

I've now got the connection working via Navicat so I know its not a problem with my user settings. E.g username, mywebsite.co.uk and the database username and password works fine. Now how do I get this working with Open Office?

Got this working now. I had to download a new Java class into Open Office which supports MySQL. Its a pitty the interface didn't tell me this.
