What version of Plesk are people running on their VPS?

We are still at 8.6 but there seem to be a lot of newer versions.

Also when updating do people do that through Plesk itself or using yum on the command line?

There are very little "extras" from upgrading plesk. If things are running fine for you - i really would not recommend any type of upgrade.

Plesk 8.6 is by far the most stable version.

Plesk 9 interface the few users that have upgraded do not like at all, and there is no "uninstall" to be able to go back to plesk8.x - so please do remember should you upgrade this is a one way thing.

Plesk 10 is a dot-zero release and is full of bugs - so do avoid this at all costs at this time.

Plesk 9+ does contain a copy of "OpenAtmail" as an alternative webmail solution, but if its purely webmail then there is nothing stopping you from using the http://webmail.34sp.com interface if you wanted too, anything on our network should be able to use this without any issues.

You can of course install any script you like on a VPS, so you are open to things like RoundCube, OpenAtmail, SquirrelMail etc - which you can install in a directory or a vhost of itself on the VPS.

Is it still the case that 8.6 is the most stable version of Plesk? It seems way old now! Thanks.
