Hi all. I had a personal hosting account but just recently brought the professional hosting for a new web site I have been putting together. Now the problem...

I've managed to connect with ftp to upload my files but firstly am confused where to upload to. Normally I would just upload to the httpdocs folder but the placeholder (test page) when I would go to my site said I should upload my files to 'You may now add content to the directory /var/www/html/.' Now I tried finding this directory and it only went as far as www after which there were different directories to where I couldn't upload anything anyway.

In the httpdocs folder though I decided to upload my files anyway but they wouldn't show up (still don't unless I use the preview link in the control panel). The placeholder page that was showing no longer does and now the web site just doesn't load at all (going to the magicammo.co.uk url just brings back an error like it doesn't exist). The httpdocs holder had a index.php file in there so I deleted this but nothing. Put the file back and still nothing. The placeholder page also stated I should go to /etc/httpd/conf.d/welcome.conf for help on how to remove the placeholder (test) page so my pages show up but again, this directory/page is nowhere to be found.

Anyone able to give me some insight as I think I may have just missed something quite obvious. :/

Hi - just went to your site using your url and it is all there. Are you still having a problem? If so, try clearing your browser cache before you do anything else.

Thank you Beanz. Problem was resolved in the end. I had a redirect set up on that domain name and after buying the domain space for it too and deleting the redirect it also inadvertently deleted something else as well which was why the site stopped working. Was all sorted thanks to support the same night.
