Does anyone have a recommendation for me? I'm new to adding CMS to a site. My client has a small site with a few pages that will need text updated on a weekly basis. I was planning to put the site together with xhtml and css. All suggestions and advice gratefully received. Dave.

There are installers for a few CMS packages at http://scripts.34sp.com/

I'm trying to get to grips with Joomla at the moment, but from what little experience I have I'd say it's overkill for a small website.

Why not take Website Baker out for a spin?

Thanks for that Phil. Might take up your idea of WebBaker. I'm going to fast track learn PHP for this. Do you know if WebBaker works via a Mac OS (I'm using Dreamweaver and CSS with some Javascript to produce the site)?
Kind regards, Dave

By the look of things it runs using PHP and mySQL on Apache webservers. OS X comes with an Apache webserver preloaded, and everything else can be installed quite painlessly (Here's one setup tutorial; there are plenty of others to choose from).

I had no major difficulties setting up virtual hosts on my iMac.

Have fun

Thanks Phil. I'll post again when this goes live.
