Hey,

Has anyone ever found that after visiting a website, nortan antivisus seems to add internet explorer and all other browsers to the "BLOCK APPLICATION LIST!!"

try avg for a free (single pc) one, far less intrusive i find. use sophos for anything bigger (servers etc), you won't think about mcaffee/norton after that.

plus that 'free with pc' thing runs out and will require a nice upgrade fee one day when you try to update it

Seriously though, I wonder if some of the code in any ie-only thing (activex type stuff) appears viruslike, and hence NAV tries to protect you by sticking ie into the "sin bin"

I have since found that i had something simlar to a browser hijacker and the firewall was adding ie because it could tell the difference.

I wouldn't agree with you over McAfee, but I concur Norton sucks big hairy camel nuts and it neither use nor ornament.

If you really need free a combo of AVG and Avast (www.avast.com) will do you till you fork out cash for something. Running Spybot and Adaware won't hurt you either.
/will say ditch IE

It makes sense so do it!
